Search Tips
|
Finding what you're looking for can be
much more rewarding if you follow these few simple tips.
-
The search will find only products which include all of the words that you
type in the search box; for example typing Red Rose will find all
products with both Red and Rose in the name, it will not
find green roses. Try limiting your search to just Rose to get a list of all roses and
then pick a specific rose from the search results list once
they're found.
-
If the word that you typed in the search field doesn't find any results, try
finding specific products by clicking on the category links on the left. If you
had no luck finding a Green Taper Candle by typing it in to the search box, you
might have better luck finding it by clicking on the
unscented candle category link to the left.
-
The difference between singular and plural is very important in searching.
Usually you'll want to use the singular form of the word. For example, typing Rose
in the search box will find all items with rose in the title, even
"Bunch of Roses". But typing Roses in the box will
not find products with just rose in the name.
-
Don't try to get too specific. Never type 9 Foot Berry Garland with Red
Berries in the search box. Even though we might have that product, too
specific of a search will almost never return any results. Simply searching for
Berry Garland Red will give you
much better results.
-
Try not to include words for inches, feet, pounds, etc. The search box won't
treat the word inches as the abbreviation in., so you're better
off just skipping any measurements in a title. For example, don't search on 26in.
Tulip Stem, instead try just Tulip Stem, or better yet, just Tulip.
-
Remember, when in doubt, the simpler the search, the better the results.
It's better to pick from 5 or 6 search results than to not find anything.
